University Students’ Persistence With Technology-Mediated Distance Education: A Response to COVID-19 and Beyond in Zimbabwe

Technology-mediated distance education (TDE) has become part of the new normal in range teaching strategies used universities Zimbabwe. Contemporary literature abounds with studies that highlight challenges associated access to universities, yet very little is highlighted about how TDE can be enhance Zimbabwean during COVID-19 era and beyond. The purpose this study was therefore investigate determinants students’ behavioural intentions persist Zimbabwe employed a quantitative approach self-constructed structured questionnaire for data collection from sample 1,300 learning students selected five using stratified random sampling strategy. Structural equation modelling IBM SPSS Amos 22 analysis. Results show cultural norms issues (β = .325; p < .001) characteristics .329; .001), lecturer .362; institution .427; external stakeholders .279; were all significantly university TDE. have implications both policy practice regard implementing universities.
